I am filing this complaint against Shriram Life Insurance for their failure to cancel my life insurance policy and refund the premium as per my repeated requests. I have complied with all the necessary procedures as outlined in their policy document, but the company has shown negligence in processing the cancellation and refund. Despite multiple attempts to contact customer service, there has been no resolution.
I demand:
Immediate cancellation of the policy as per the terms mentioned in the contract.
Full refund of my premium, which has not been processed despite following all cancellation protocols.
This delay is causing undue financial stress and violates my consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If my issue is not resolved within the stipulated time, I will escalate this complaint to the Consumer Court (District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission).
I expect prompt action from the company, failing which I will be seeking further legal remedies, including compensation for mental harassment and financial loss.
