I have completed more than 100 family and business trips over the years, but this was by far the worst travel experience I have ever had.
We booked a 20-seater AC Tempo Traveller from Simply Trip for a 6-day family trip covering Beri, Gurugram, Khatu Shyam Ji, and Vrindavan. We were only 13 passengers, so comfort should never have been an issue. Unfortunately, the driver and the company's service completely ruined our trip.
On the very first day, we reached Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station at around 9:00 PM. Everyone, including children and elderly family members, was hungry. We repeatedly requested the driver to stop for dinner at a decent restaurant. Instead, he completely ignored our requests and drove straight to Beri, a journey of around 2.5 hours. We reached so late that everyone had to sleep without having dinner. This is completely unacceptable and shows zero concern for passengers.
The driver's behavior throughout the trip was extremely rude and unprofessional. He barely responded whenever we called him and we had to repeatedly call out "Driver Bhaiya" or "Driver Ji" multiple times before getting any response.
The biggest disappointment was the AC. Every time we stopped for even a 5-minute break, the driver would switch off the AC in the middle of peak summer. If passengers are paying extra for an AC vehicle, why should they be forced to suffer in the heat?
The vehicle was also in a terrible condition. During the entire 6-day trip, it was not cleaned even once. Dust, dirt, and garbage kept accumulating inside the vehicle, making the journey uncomfortable and unhygienic.
Additional issues we faced:
- The driver showed no interest in passenger comfort or customer service.
- He lacked basic communication skills and never informed us properly about stops or timings.
- The company did not take our complaints seriously. Even after reporting these issues during the trip, Simply Trip failed to provide any satisfactory response or resolution.
A family trip is meant to create happy memories, but because of the driver's careless attitude and Simply Trip's poor customer support, our experience was completely spoiled.
I strongly do not recommend Simply Trip to anyone planning a family vacation. If this is the quality of drivers and customer service they provide, customers should look elsewhere for a reliable travel company.
