What did you do when they were forcing you? I also received a call and they started blackmailing me about cancellation charges.
Same thing they do with me. Now m very frustrated what did I do please help me and guide me
They called me just now - when payment link came, I refused to pay and cut the call. CIBIL Score is calculated on the basis of our loans and credit cards payments to the banks and other financial institutions and minimum balances maintained on our savings accounts. It is not calculated on the basis of our commitments to a merchant and not fulfilling that commitment.
So me not paying them is not going to impact my CIBIL score at all. For example, if I book a car and refuse to pay - at the most they can cancel my order. It will not impact my CIBIL score at all.
They said it's an HDFC Bank offer - I told them if it's an HDFC Bank offer, then email me from the official HDFC Bank account and I will look into it. They said we are "HDFC Bank partners" - I said HDFC (or any other bank) has no right to share my data with their partners without my consent or without informing me first.
So there is no reason to get scared or pay them. I would suggest if you have paid, contact your bank and ask them why have they shared your number with fraudulent companies.
