Spectrum Webtech — Data Entry Fraud

I was called by this company called Spectrum Web Tech, offering me a job of data entry. Upon asking them as to how they got my number, they told me they got it from a job portal called shine. I thought the company is legitimate because I trusted shine, the job portal app. Little did I know I would be scammed by them eventually.

They said there is no registration charges but once the salary is given, they would deduct a sum of 5000 rupees from my salary. However they did not tell me that upon failing my work I would be liable to pay them 5000 rupees.

The data entry work required me to fill 450 forms in a span of 5 days. I completed my work with utmost care and efficiency leaving almost no room for error. However after my work was done I tried contacting them and got no response from their end.

After two days, today morning I got a call from a person named Kunal Rana from Spectrum Web Tech claiming that I have not passed the quality report and I have to pay the registration fees as penalty. I refused because I told them this wasn't mentioned to me previously. They threatened me and told me they will take legal action against me if I fail to pay them. I'm in a dilemma right now as I have been duped of the salary and now they want money from me. Upon further investigation I realised that this company has been doing this with other employees as well, harassing them and threatening them.
