Dear Vijay TV,
I am writing as a dedicated fan who has watched Bigg Boss from Day 1 from Malaysia. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to share my deep disappointment regarding Vijay Sethupathi (VJS) as the host of this season.
In my opinion, VJS is not demonstrating the qualities required of a strong leader or a fair host for the housemates. A host should be an empathetic listener, yet VJS consistently cuts housemates off while they are speaking, depriving them of their fundamental right to express themselves. While a host is entitled to share a point of view, imposing those opinions on contestants is unacceptable. The housemates often remain polite simply out of respect for the platform and the public audience.
Furthermore, there appears to be a noticeable lack of objectivity. VJS seems to clearly favor Shama while showing apparent bias against contestants like Jason, TTF, and Avinash.
For instance, when Shama made her decision regarding LP, it was unfair given the performances, yet it went largely unchallenged because people assumed she would be unbiased. Conversely, in Avinash’s case, the situation was handled quite differently—especially when LP began framing the narrative around a "male group targeting female players." A host performing a deep analysis should see through these mind games and treat everyone equally rather than using star power to dominate discussions.
A host sets an example for society and should choose their words with care and maturity, much like Kamal Haasan sir did. Someone like Neeya Naana Gopinath would be far better suited for this role.
VJS's current approach does not reflect fair hosting, and I urge Vijay TV to reconsider the hosting choices for future seasons.
Best regards,
