StarCJalive.com — late refund of money and no redressal of complaints

I had placed an order for a Pigeon glass cooktop on 30.06.2014 from starcj. The money was paid online at the same time. On July 5, 2014, I received the cooktop which was not sealed and packed in starcj packing and also in an damaged box. I immediately called up the starcj call centre and was informed by the girl at the other end not to receive the same and return the parcel back to the courier and they would arrange to send me another packed item. Since I did not receive the item by 8th July 2014, I gave a call to the call centre again and the person at the other end told me that I would receive the same after 2 days. Again when I gave a call on 10th July 2014, Thursday, the person at the other end informed me that I have not placed an order for redelivery and this would have to be done now and I would receive my item after 4-5 working days.I told the person that on 8th I was informed that I would receive the item after 2 days and now I am being informed that my order has not been taken and I would receice my item after 4-5 days. The person would not be able to tell me anything and went on telling me that I have to place an order again. I refused and asked to speak to a senior and later on asked for a refund of my money. Even for the refund of my hardearned money the company made me call them up umpteen times and each time the executive or the team leader at the other end gave me promises that my money would be received soon but there was no sign of my money. Finally after a fairly long wait of more than 2 months, on 2nd September 2014, I received my money. The company is very casual about customer service and the executives have no coordination in the department. I would like to claim interest and damages for the harassment caused to me as there were not contacts from the company regarding the status of delivery of my item after the return no any intimation regarding refund of my money and each time I had to make a call to check the same. Also, the company gave umpteen excuses for the delay in returning my money.
