Sterling — sterling kodai lake _manager's bad behavior

We stayed at kodai lake from 29.05.19 to 01.06.2019 & booked accommodation through agoda somewhere in march'19. As we planned regarding almost every small item so that kids can have a great time, it went well till the last day.

While registering on first day, it was informed to reception staff that kids are also staying with us so if any formalities are there as while booking through most of the internet websites if one chooses option as adult + kids, it shows no rooms available or shows exhorbent amount for unknown reason. Since, kids are 8& 6 year old we won't book extra room, only a large bed is requested. That day nothing was mentioned, also when we asked for an extra bed, staff didn't arrange for it.

While settling the bill for activities & food, reception guy informed we have to pay for kids accommodation more 6k. We asked why is to so now & why during arrival same was not informed. He kept arguing rudely so we thought it would be better to discuss with hotel manager. We had to wait an hour to meet as he was busy in morning meeting. He came and started chanting hotel policy in front of everyone at reception area itself instead of his room.

We were already stressed as due to ayurvedic massage in sterling spa kids had developed rashes, my husband politely kept telling him that it should have been informed during arrival, booking issues & that in earlier 3 visits during 2018-19 in sterling elk hill, sterling wayanad & sterling karwar never such embarrassment was faced, but he instead started showing app that more 4 year old would be charged & he does not know anything else to the extent he sarcastically said we were perhaps lucky (Like we didn't get caught), we both were taken aback.

Finally, we just queried if they expect extra payment why they didn't arrange for an extra bed or at least mattress, to which he didn't have answer, he inquired with his staff & found it to be true & graciously said ok, fine you pay for breakfast done by kids for 3 days...2k. Kids hardly ate anything for 3 days at sterling in breakfast but we were too tired of stupid argument, paid & came out.

He was not at all having any humanitarian feelings that kids have got rashes & are are suffering because of massage in spa of their resort itself and first arrange for a doctor or medication but instead just wanted money. Better than him were spa staff & housekeeping people who brought medicine & called up even next day to check on kids health.

Shameful & inhumanitarian...

We had plans of taking lifetime membership of sterling but now would n't ever think...
