Steve Madden India — Manufacturing defect after 1 wear only

I purchased a steve madden shoe from elante mall chandigarh outlet on 1st of september 2021. I just wore the shoe for 2-3 hours and my foot coming out of the shoe as it got spread. I was given gurantee of exchange for one year if there was any defect. When i reached the putlet to get a smaller size, they clearly denied saying it is wear and tear. How can such costly shoe get wear and tear in just 2-3 hours. Highly dissatisfied. Will not ever recommend anyone for this brand. Its a request if you can help me get a smaller size as i saved a lot to get this shoe and wore it just once.
