SWIPE KONNECT 4E displays low storage despite adding 8GB microSD and no media in phone

Hi,

My father brought a Swipe Konnect 4E 6 months back. due to low storage capacity, an 8GB microSD card was fitted to the cell but still the phone gives error message "low storage". The phone barely has few photos and no other media or apps. Please advice.
