Tata Motors — complain about bill received after three years of closing my internet account

I have received an email from tata tele servies to pay bill of rs 406 or they will take legal action, first thing i have closed this account 2 to 3 years back and had paid all the outstanding balances and they can't expect me to hold on to proof of payment for three years second when they can send an email now what were they doing from this long?
