Tata Motors — Delay in delivery of Tata Nexon XZ (Daytona Grey)

I am really disgusted with the service Tata Motors is providing to its customers. On 11th July 2020, I had booked for Tata Nexon XZ (Daytona Grey) from Tata Motors' authorised dealer Chandrani Enterprise Pvt Ltd, Asansol. At the time of booking I was informed that the car will be delivered within 20 - 25 days. By the end of July we received call from the dealer that the car will be delivered by end of July. When the July month was about to end I contacted the dealer and they informed that the production was hampered in Pune manufacturing unit due to lockdown and the delivery will get delayed and they had assured that it will definitely be delivered by 15th of August 2020.
Around 13th when we enquired about the delivery of the car they started making all sorts of excuses. They were not able to give us satisfactory reply. They were not following up the matter with their higher authorities. We had booked the car on 11th July but they started the follow up about the delivery from their higher authorities only from 13th August. I dont understand why was there delay from the dealer's side in taking up the matter from the higher authorities. Many a times we were told to change the model to either Nexon XZ+ or Altroz. When we had booked the car then also there was lockdown prevailing in pune and that time only they should have informed us that they are not in a position to deliver us the car and that we should opt for another model. But they were not transparent in their dealing. On 17th August we were informed that the biling has not been done yet and it will be billed on 25th August and the car will be delivered positively by 6th September. We still patiently waited for our car to be delivered because we support 'Make in India' Campaign and chose our very own Indian Company Tata Motors over and above all the other foreign car companies. But Tata Motors failed to live upto our expectations. On 1st September 2020, when we enquired again there was delay in response and after several rounds of enquires they again disappointed us with their same old answer that the biling has not been done and it will be done on 6th September and car will be delivered by 17th - 18th September. This time also the dealer is not sure whether they will be able to deliver the car on time. This time also they have asked to change the model to xm variant. Why should I compromise with the car when I'm paying so much. If I had to take another model of the car then in the first place I would have booked another model. I will never ever recommend anyone to buy any car from Tata Motors due to the bad service that I have faced since two months. I will definitely cancel my booking now. Before the sale the service is so bad what would have happened if by any chance I had got the delivery of the car...I am now saved by the bad after sales service atleast. Now I understand why people blindly trust other foreign car companies. I am writing this post so that people dont blindly trust Tata Motors and waste their precious time. I am not able to understand where is the lapse taking place and who is responsible for the delay
