My parents (both 80yrs + ) TataPlay HD box stopped working. Remote was functional. TataPlay sent a technician to fix it.
Technician said the settop box needed to be changed. When asked to install a new box he said TataPlay HD boxes are no longer used and we need to get a TataPlay Binge box.
He put a TataPlay Binge box and gave a new remote. Charged 1800₹ via account and activated a subscription of 349₹ a month. He didnot tell them about subscription charges. Took the old box and remote.
This is upgrade of box and services by lying and false pretense. Lying that HD
boxes are no longer used.
On complaining to TataPlay customer care and speaking with them 8 to 9 times yesterday on the phone, they did not resolve issue, nor accept the fraudulent practice of their technician and company and refused to refund the ₹349 citing company policy. Instead they closed the complaint inspite of being asked to escalate it. Was this information helpful? |
