Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd — zolpidem/ambien

I've taken zolpidem from TEVA for years (TEVA/74 and in the past 6 months or longer, my pharmacy which is a locally owned store. started using these oblong tan yellow ones made by Torrent Pharmaceuticals. THEY DON'T WORK! It's ridiculous. My sister has the same issue and uses a completely different pharmacy in a different city. These are a complete waste of time. I can't believe they would even dispense these to people. I've tried on an empty stomach and that doesn't even work. So wrong.

I have been on Zolpidem for several years. When I received my last script from my mail order pharmacy it was different this time. It came from Torrent pharmaceutical co. This medication does not work and I also believe this is a placebo. I have taken this in the past and had the same results when using a local pharmacy. In talking with 2 relatives who take this and a friend all said the same thing about this generic med. IT DOES NOT WORK!!! I only have had issues wiith Torrent Pharmaceuticals regarding their gemeric Zolpidem. Now into about 60 days of very sleep and will be calling my mail order pharmacy to tell them no to give this to me at my next refill. This brand is worthless.

I've been on Zolpidem for over 10 years. The generic brand I took for many years was Teva which worked well. Now all of the pharmacies (ALL OF THEM) here only carry Torrent brand. They do not work at all. Obviously our complaints fall on deaf ears. Torrent keeps putting out reports that they receive ZERO complaints on their products. Google it. You can see their publicized ZERO complaint claims. Meanwhile everyone suffers. And now multiple recalls that their blood pressure meds are tainted with cancer causing chemicals. They need to be shut down!! Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to shut down a MULTI-BILLION dollar company that exists in one of the poorest countries on the planet. They are untouchable and the pharmacies will continue to buy from them as long as they are the cheapest. Our health relies on profits. Nothing more. The focus should be on the pharmacies that refuse to buy generics from more reputable companies as well as the insurance companies that are in bed with them.

I have the same exact complaints that everyone else has about Torrent 10mg generic ambien. I've taken Teva in the past and never had issues but was just given Torrent this year. In general I avoid Indian manufacturers if possible, but this was unavoidable since EVERY pharmacy carried either Torrent or Aurobindo (also Indian), and I know Aurobindo is awful so I decided to give Torrent a try. BIG MISTAKE! Not only did it not make me sleepy, but it also gave me nausea and headaches shortly after taking it. I also tried taking on an empty stomach and sublingually which didn't work. I've asked my doctor to prescribe a different sleep med since literally every pharmacy (even small mom & pop) carries Torrent or Aurobindo.

I'm on a totally different med called lamotrigine. I took teva for years till they discontinued in early 2018 then started on cipla both Indian companies but no issues were awesome reluctantly had noo choice but to try torrent because yet another company quit making lamotrigine.this has made me so sick I'm on 800 mgs a days there's either 2 much meds in the tablets which can vary between 80-125% of your prescription.all i know is i don't know what's worse the seizures or this I've had every side effect u can have being on this med that I've never had in the 10 years I've been on it

I have been taking TORRENT 10 mg Zolpidem Tartrate for a week now. Ordered it through my mail away (CvsCaremark). I couldn't understand why I've had the worse sleep this week, and got up to do some research on the company Torrent. I have been taking Ambien/Zolpidem for 15 years and never had a problem. Usually I fill my prescription at Costco who uses the manufacturer NORTHSTAR. I thought it would be more convenient to have it delivered with my mail away carrier. I am calling my doctor today. I am so disturbed by this! It is so wrong!
