Traveltime office in Pune Airport Area is just run by a bunch of cheaters. 2nd of July I have reached Pune Airport at 9:50 PM and approached to Traveltime counter that is available right in front of the arrival. I asked for a cab. The guy on the counter conveyed the rate as Rs 16 per KM in grid and 25 per KM after the city limit per KM as it is before 11PM so day rate will be applicable. I told him that my address is 37 KM away from Airport - so asked what is the city limit towards my home? He conveyed me the landmark which is around 4 km from my house. So the counter boy told that the rough estimation would be around 650 rupees plus 70 rupees charge for booking the cab. I booked the cab accordingly and traveled to my home and reach there at 11:15 PM. The Driver asked me to pay Rs 780 (33km per 20 Rs < night charge in grid> + 4km per 30 Rs . I told as per the criteria mentioned at the time of booking the charge should be Rs 628 ( 33km per 16 + 4km per 25). To sort it out he asked me to call up the airport counter guy. Shocking response what I got is that Traveltime charges the whole trip on out grid tariff so I have to pay Rs 25 for 37Km. Original fare as per the Rate chart : Rs. 628 Driver asked to pay: Rs 780 Finally, what I had to pay after seeking clarification from customer care of traveltime is : Rs. 925 Which is around 50% extra over the contracted price. I am surprised why they have not claimed night time out grid charges for the whole trip! It would come to Rs. 1110.
