Madras university is the worst university in south india. the staff are arrogant, irresponsible and highly corrupted.

I was enrolled in an M.Sc and it has been more than 1 year i have not received my textbooks and no seminar classes has been conducted yet.

when i talk to the officials they are saying that its not their fault. they treat students like a dog and show no respect towards any human beings.
when we go to the police station to file a complaint, they will accept the complaint and STRICTLY wont take action at all. i guess they will also accept the bribe from madras university,
when we go to a advocate filing a case against madras university the case itself will take an year's time for hearing in court and university officials simply dont care.

In other words, we pay madras university a huge amount as tuition fees, they will pay the cops and other guys to keep silent from that money and the remaining amount goes into their pockets.

police station, courts, writing in newspapers, sending complaints to ministry of education -- all has been proven not to work. no body seems to care..

Can anyone tell me what approach will make them do their jobs and get textbooks issued, get them organize seminar classes, get marksheets, certificate issued at right time ? because i have run out of options and government workers (police), judicial system have failed me. where to go in such a case?

Last 2-3 years this man who limps from one leg and has a ladies voice named Shanmugam working in the B.Sc examination section of the World Famous Madras University has spoiled my career and life. Every time I meet him he arrogantly asks me to give my number where he can call after a week which he never does.

In this period of time I have lost my job 2 times and had extreme financial crunch to go and meet this shanmugam guy to get my work done. He always bluntly says “when I told you after one week why are asking me again, what is this? “.

I am very much distressed and have lost faith in the working of this great university. Please someone take heed of this matter and explain shanmugam not to behave badly with needy people and have some sense of pity on people who come to him with great hope and expectations.

Madras university is an educational premier in the country but if students future is played upon by people like shanmugam what kind of future we can expect for new india.I am so much distressed and feel like attempting suicide.

He has no sympathy for other people's requests and problems. This man is so callous to people’s request and speaks very rudely someday someone might do suicide.

Please my humble request to counsel this shanmugam because he even misbehaved with my 63 yrs old appa who was shocked to see this man’s dangerous attitude towards senior citizens even.

I have tried to get my provisional certificate from the past 4 months they didn't give me a valuable reply. They are totally irresponsible...and treat the students without any manners....i cant get them through phone lines also....They are mostly not picking the phone calls or otherwise the given no is wrong...or sometimes it may be busy....Please take a proper actions....most of the students are in trouble like me

DEAR SIR,
i am a student o[censored]niversity of madras IDE. my study centre is at guwahati. sir in dec 2011 i have appeared in university examinations for 2nd year. later we came to know that our result is withheld on the basis of corruption. and after till date the result is not been published yet neither the examinations are cancelled . on mar 2012 we were told by the university that our result is withheld and fresh examinations will be conducted and also we will be informed about it by post individually but all in vain we have not the results neither got any message of cancellation of exam till date. in sep 2012 we were told that the university is publishing the result and for that we have to send an application on this regards we also have done that but all in vain. our time is lapsed and career is ruined but the university is yet not taking any action over it. also in june 2012 i have appeared in examinations from shilong centre the results were published on net in which i declared pass but don't got the report card yet . sir i have been asking the study material for third year since a long but i am not getting it in stead of that my all course fee is paid sir i am in a great deli ma and my career is ruined please help me in this regards several times i tried to contact university but all gone in vain please help me also please keep my identity secret as i am scared that it can effect my results sir please please help me

Myself is Raja S and I have completed my M.B.A course May 2010 at university of madras distance education with the Enrolment number A7101PBA9701. Still I have not received my convocation certificate. I have paid all my fees due. I have received my provisional degree certificate and Course completed certificate. I have submitted the griveance form twice with the proof. Still I have not received any intimation from the university. I tried to Call our university telephone numbers and getting very worst response, no one ready to answer my question. They are very lazy and irresponsible. (Telephone numbers ;[protected],[protected] etc.,) This need to taken care.

I'm doing my MBA in IBM from Madras university distance education through ambur center(Mazhar ul uloom college,ambur), i've paid all my fees on time and still i've not yet got the elective books till date.As already my exams are started and being in final year without books on elective subjects like export management and import management etc.how can i write my exams.
Upon enquiring in Ambur center they are telling for eight months they will arrange and give and today also they are telling the same thing.I complained to principal but he is simply taking his hands by saying "we are only the messenger we can't give you books, as we haven't recieved it yet".
I visited Madras university as well but they are telling they have already dispatched to center so they can't issue books at any cost.. i complained to the grieviance cell but they are not taking the request and i submitted a letter on the same to the director,IDE madras university but still i didnot got any response from them.. I tried several times calling them each time they give different number to call and check and on those no. no one will pick the call...From 10 am in the morning to till 12.20 i made around 25 calls but each time their response is same.
Kindly suggest and take action against this university and college.
Also i visited university 2 times as my exam center was changed as vellore as i payed extra amount Rs.250 for bangalore center and they given n hall ticket as vellore center..i called and check but to no use...i this jinx i missed a exam where to attend in bangalore or n vellore.

Madras university eligibility section assistant registrar is a punishable person for corruption, please take action against of him. by, CITIZEN

Madras University has conducted the exams for
diploma courses in the month of JULY 2011. The exam venue at ANNAI VEILANKANNI Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Saidapet. The location which they provide to write the exam looks like a hut(images are below), which is covered with SAMIYANA, and there is no ventilation and fan facilities. Hope the Madras university is an ancient and most popular university across INDIA. But the facility provided for exam is very very poor and conducted at school, surrounded with the noise of the school students. Is the way to conduct exam by university???? Has the Controller of the examination visited the exam venue???? University does not care about the exam venue and how to write the exam in such a polluted location... Even schools are conducting exams in the class rooms, but the university ?????????????????. Then after the examination the school HM shouted the candidates to get out of the school, they didn't allow to discuss the candidates for a few minutes... I request the university to conduct the exams at the right place to avoid these kind of activities...

Madras university is really bad in publishing result.This on gng every year.
the management of madras university worst in quality.
the evaluation of madras is also very poor for e.g my one of the classmate wrote on his paper the instructions which is printer on the hallticket. he got 60 in external ( in my experience) :(
The result usually has come in june for final year but this year nw july came nt yet result published :(
i have lost my dream job opportunity because of this delay...
the university not telling any thing about this delay there is nothing information about this in the university webpage.( THIS IS NOT ALSO FIRST TIME)

Dear Madam/Sir,

My enrollment# with IDE, Madras University is A10101DRW6002 - diploma course in Rain Water Harvesting, June 2010-May 2011.I was told that this course has been cancelled due to lack of number of students and since then request various applications, visits at the office, phone calls: requesting refund of the fee paid earlier.

As directed I've submitted application stating the details and address to deliver the cheque as guided. However, after this there does not seem to have any progress in the status for release of refund money.

Its been almost a year that i have been requesting refund yet, it does not appear to take any effect till date. The refund money is needed for expenses to search for my PG course that I am not from a good back ground.

Please assist.

I was doing MCA I year in regular..once completed that,I got a job.since there is a option in continuing the II and II year in corres, I have applied and completed my second and third year now..But till now I am not getting my provisional..They are saying lots o[censored]seless reasons to avoid us.If they are not able to manage the peoples of Direct second year and redo courses, why should they offer such facilities?I am pleasing them for my certificates for last 2 years..Donno how I am going to get.Even pregnant,they are not considering our situation..Very depressed with them..Any solutions to my certificates?

Dear Sir/Madam,

My brother got admission on 2010 in Madras university Distance Education for BCA.

And he received a letter saying that he needs to attend daily classes.

So i thought of calling to the en query section..

I have tried 2 to 3 numbers no of time.. which is mentioned in their letter..[protected] ,[protected]

no one is picking the call. And i searched in Google and got the number 25613772.

I called them and one person picked the call and keep on telling not able to here please speak loudly..

Then i asked why you are having such a bad quality instrument on en query section.How loudly can i speak to you.. can't you able to here.

Suddenly that person handover to some one.He is started speak in English and asking where are you from and i told him i am from Chennai and he is asking why don't you come directly and ask.

I said behalf of my brother i need some info.He asked what do want to know, i said that my brother is joined in distance education he is working in one concern why you are asking to attend classes in regular.

He is saying that is our university rule. Can not be modified. If you want you can drop letter to vice chancellor. he is hardly saying like that..

Really very bad of this.. how the education is going in Tamilnadu.

In big institution there is no politeness in the en query section.

We are educated so we can handle it.. Even some o[censored]neducated peoples also joining their son/daughter here..

thinking of them to bad of MADRAS UNIVERSITY...

Any Responsible person can take the action regarding this...

Otherwise in future no one willing to join in madras university for Distance education..

I don't understand why they are calling this as Distance Education.[Taking classes in week days..]. Not doing it properly then they should not do that..

Simply for name shake they are getting approval for every thing and doing like this.

Only India they can do what ever they want.

i'm doing bca(university of madras). in my april 2010 result one of the sub code(SAZ4B - operating system) &mark is left .. i verified in the univ bca section they check & told me ''u r mark is 86(63+23 -internal) " but now i wrote it as arrear paper because in nominee i have that subject.
