I'm a IInd year post graduate student of madras university from department of music, recently our 3rd semester results got published and it was like a mark sheet which has been grouped to 3 categories Top, Middle, Bottom Top will be obviously from tamilnadu state, belonging to the iyengar caste and most lovable students of the teachers middle part belongs to the other students who been working hard, I appreciate them and the final part is where I belong, I'm a keralite and I don't know if it is a threat to madras university, I know I'm a weak student comparing to the other students of my class, but I'm 100% sure that I've done enough to get pass on my 3rd semester examination but when the results got published I've got failed in 2 major papers and I went to question the faculty why this has happened and they told like you haven't sang properly, it was not proper... I want to add another statement which is pure illegal activity done by our department. During 3rd semester examination we had a portion which is very vast and need to be byhearted and there's a guy in my class who is a kannada brahmin he has not byhearted a single piece and our HOD told him to look and sing, which is the first thing a teacher should not do during major examination and even though he was not able to sing by looking, and finally when the result published he got passed in every examination and who works hard got arrears, this is not a honest valuation a student should get from the great madras university, shamed of faculties, I hope my problem get solved when the higher officials see this message. I'm writing this complaint for not only me but for most kerala students of my department who are not able raise their voice. So I'm humbly requesting the higher officials to take this message a bit serious.
