Vahathi Motor Driving School — Non-Refund of 4,000 Despite Written Refund Commitment by Driving School

I paid ₹4, 000 to Vahathi Driving School towards driving training/lessons. The full amount was taken in advance, but the promised driving training/service was not provided and no trainer was sent to me.

I subsequently requested a refund of the full ₹4, 000. Despite several follow-ups, the refund was not initially processed.

On 25 September 2026, Vahathi Driving School confirmed through email that they would process the refund within one week. They subsequently specifically confirmed the refund date as 02 October 2026. I also provided my UPI details for processing the refund, and the driving school confirmed receipt of the same.

Despite their written commitment, the refund was not credited to me on 02 October 2026. I sent a reminder on 01 October 2026 and again informed them on 05 October 2026 that I had not received the refund. However, the amount remains unpaid as of 08 October 2026.

I have documentary evidence of the payment, the email correspondence, my refund requests, and the driving school's written confirmation that the full amount would be refunded by 02 October 2026.

I request that the concerned authority take up this grievance with Vahathi Driving School and facilitate the immediate refund of the full ₹4, 000 paid by me. I also request appropriate relief for the inconvenience and failure to provide the paid service, as may be permissible under applicable consumer law.

I am attaching the relevant payment proof as supporting documents. I have complete email correspondence too, please let me know if that is required.
