I have booked an air ticket from the travel agent www.via.com with booking ID No. FMNAA3AUPMZDE on 20.02.2020 for journey from Pune to Bangalore on 12.04.2020 and return journey from Bangalore to Pune on 19.04.2020 (Both journeys from AirAsia Flights). The copy of the ticket is attached for your reference.
In wake of Novel Corona virus pandemic and Circular no. 4/1/2020-IR dated 27.03.2020 issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation, all scheduled flights were suspended till 14.04.2020 and then said suspension was extended. In view of the circumstances, the above mentioned ticket was cancelled on 28.03.2020 and the status of the refund is shown as under process.
I have contacted first air travel agent www.via.com on 13.04.20 by mail and requested to refund the ticket amount of Rs. 15, 748/- (as the flights were suspended by the Govt. Authority) at the earliest. They responded to this mail and provided me the Cancellation Reference number as CRN09KAE83Q and informed that the refund is pending with the airline i.e Airasia India. I then contacted the airline through their twitter handle for customer support i.e ‘@AirAsiaSupport’. The airline informed me that they have they have processed the refund with the travel agent. The screenshot of their reply is attached herewith. I have communicated the said fact to the www.via.com on 26.05.20, 02.06.20, 15.06.20, 08.07.20, 20.07.20, 27.07.20, 09.08.20 and 11.08.20. Initially they gave vague replies but now stopped replying. The screenshots of the mails are being attached for your information.
It is earnest request to you to look into the matter and help me to get the refund as injustice is being metted out to me.
