Vision Ias — Vision ias review — worst classroom, inexperienced faculty

Address:New Delhi, Delhi, 110005
Website:www.visionias.in

I attended their foundation course in 2016 and it was a worst classroom experience. I got lured by their toppers talk, open sessions and vision's good name in test-series. But in reality their classroom is total crap.in advertisements, they never mention that toppers are from their test-series, which often leads students to believe that toppers are from their classroom which is a big lie. They try to impress students through open sessions but in regular classroom they send substandard and irresponsible faculties. They don't have any permanent faculty and due to this either they keep changing class schedule or replace faculties at the last moment. Teachers come to class unprepared and dictate from same old ppts. Students are discouraged to ask questions and if one insists, their faculty gets in to argument and snub students. They don't focus on syllabus and teach irrelevant things. They use really innovative terms to advertise their classes but their innovation stops here only. Below i have listed what they claim and what they deliver:

Differentiated attention - this is basically a trick. Any coaching institute which has good number of students will never promise such facility because it is just not possible. Vision gets very few students in their foundation class. You won't find more than 15-20 students in any given day. Since the number is small they market their class with the facility of differentiated attention. But truth is, even with this small number of students they are extremely careless towards the problems faced by students.

Continuous individual assessment - this is another lie. Initially they said that regular tests will be taken and copies will be checked by classroom faculty. Nothing of this sort happened. They gave class tests for self assessment only that means they won't check the copies. And tests from their test series was checked by their copy checking team which was way below standard. None of their faculty ever touched test copies.

Multi modal expert availability - another catchy marketing term that turned out to be a hoax. I wonder, when their faculty themselves are such a third grade lot what sort of multi-modal expert availability they would provide? Students come with certain expectations that faculty of ias coaching would have some class, depth of knowledge, experience etc but at vision it's totally missing. All of their teachers are freshers, some pre qualified, some mains qualified with 0-1 year of teaching experience. 1-2 teachers are good but their classes are limited. Occasionally they send selected students to take class but for a brief period only. They keep changing faculties at random. For doubt clearance students are redirected to some classroom expert who are either themselves in to preparation or upsc rejected and frustrated. They are of no good.

Ready, relevant and up to date study material - their printed study materials are of good quality but notes given by teachers are outdated and substandard. Printed study materials are copy paste of previous year material and hardly updated. At times they update their notes but they are very late in doing so and students get the material much after the classes are over.

Interesting, innovative and interactive - it is a big joke. Sometimes students start laughing out of sheer frustration on the quality and content of vision faculty, which is the only source of entertainment in class. Otherwise classes are utterly boring, monotonous and demotivating. Majority of their faculty are themselves preparing for ias, teaching is their part time job. Due to their lack of experience either they dodge questions, or give out of context information. They don't do their homework and come to the class unprepared.

Technological support - its horrible. Vision's personalized portal for students is full of glitches. Rarely any of their live streaming or recorded class runs smoothly. If any technical error occurs there is no one to hear. Their faculty teaches using ppts which are carelessly prepared and lack vital information.

Do some research before joining vision classroom. Ask previous students about their experience. They are using their test series to establish classroom but they have miserably failed in maintaining the quality, and standard that a classroom program should have. Vision's classroom was started in 2014 but consistent poor response and failure has only made them more desperate to attract students by every unethical means possible. Big claims and promises made in advertisements are a hoax. Faculty they present in open sessions are rarely seen in actual classroom. Successful toppers are from their test series, not classroom.

If you still want to join vision classroom do that on your own risk.in civils preparation time matters more than money invested. I found vision classroom a total waste of time. Go to some good reputed teachers or old players. When we get in to ias preparation lots are at stake. Don't let your chances marred by those who don't understand the gravity of this exam. They are in this business just for making quick money. Vision classes are hopeless.
