Vivo Mobile India — Misleading giveaways, poor software updates, and declining phone performance by iqoo

I am filing this complaint against iQOO (a sub-brand of Vivo Mobile India Pvt. Ltd.) due to multiple issues that reflect a pattern of misleading and unfair practices.

1. Misleading Giveaways:
Over the past couple of years, iQOO has conducted several giveaways and contests on Twitter and other social media platforms, promising valuable prizes such as smartphones. Despite large user participation, winners were never announced or prizes distributed in most of these campaigns, including the iQOO Neo 9 Pro launch giveaway held around 1.5 years ago. This deliberate failure to honor their giveaways amounts to false advertising and deceptive marketing, aimed solely at boosting social media engagement without fulfilling promises.

2. Software Updates Ruining Performance:
Initially, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro phone worked perfectly with smooth performance and great camera quality. However, subsequent software updates have severely degraded the user experience — causing constant lag, stuttering, overheating during gaming (e.g., BGMI), and significant drops in camera quality and responsiveness. Many users, including myself, have reported these issues, but iQOO has not addressed them adequately.

3. Customer Support and Transparency:
When contacted about the giveaways, iQOO’s customer care was evasive and did not provide clear information or winner lists, showing a lack of transparency and responsibility.

These actions mislead and harm customers, eroding trust and damaging iQOO’s reputation. I request the consumer forum to investigate these matters thoroughly and take necessary action to hold iQOO accountable and protect consumer rights.
