Misleading giveaways, poor software updates, and declining phone performance by iqoo

I am filing this complaint against iQOO (a sub-brand of Vivo Mobile India Pvt. Ltd.) due to multiple issues that reflect a pattern of misleading and unfair practices.

1. Misleading Giveaways:
Over the past couple of years, iQOO has conducted several giveaways and contests on Twitter and other social media platforms, promising valuable prizes such as smartphones. Despite large user participation, winners were never announced...

    I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Vivo for the non-delivery of a product I purchased through their platform. Below are the details of my
    • Order Date: 11th December 2024
    • Expected Delivery Date: 17th December 2024
    Product- vivo t3 prob- 24999/
    2. Issue Faced:
    Despite the promised delivery date, I have not yet received the product as of today, 20th December 2024.
    Additionally, I have reached out to both the delivery service and Vivo’s customer support multiple times, but their responses have been inadequate and unhelpful.
    3. Impact and Request:
    This delay has caused me inconvenience and frustration. As a consumer, I believe my rights have been violated under the Consumer Protection Act.
    I kindly request:
    • Immediate delivery of the product.
    • Compensation of ₹10, 000 for the mental stress and inconvenience caused.

      Dear Consumer Complaints India Team,

      I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against iQOO India regarding a manufacturing defect in my iQOO 9 Pro 5G smartphone that I purchased on 17th August 2023 for ₹44, 990 through Amazon India.

      Details of the Complaint:

      1. Product Details: iQOO 9 Pro 5G (12GB RAM, 256GB Storage)

      2. Purchase Date: 17th August 2023

      3. Defects Identified:

      A vertical green line appeared on the display within one year of purchase.

      The device has heating issues during normal use.

      Battery backup is poor and performance is below expectations for a premium product.

      My Experience:

      I approached the iQOO service center at the Attapur Service Center, Hyderabad, where the technician acknowledged the display defect but refused to replace the device. Instead, they offered a free display replacement, which I find unacceptable for a premium product with multiple defects caused by a manufacturing issue.

      The refusal to replace the phone indicates a lack of accountability for delivering a defective product. I purchased this device expecting quality and durability, but instead, I have experienced inconvenience, dissatisfaction, and wasted time trying to resolve these issues.

      Relief Sought:

      1. Replacement of the defective product with a new device of the same model.

      2. Alternatively, a full refund of ₹44, 990.

      3. Compensation for the mental agony and time wasted in dealing with this issue.

      Supporting Documents:

      Purchase Invoice (attached).

      Photographs of the defect (attached).

      Email correspondence with iQOO customer support.

      Service center visit details.

      Conclusion:
      I request your intervention in this matter to hold iQOO accountable for the defective product and ensure that I receive a replacement or refund promptly. If this issue is not resolved, I am prepared to escalate the matter to the Consumer Court under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

      I look forward to your support in resolving this issue at the earliest.

        Green lines issue

        I have been using VIVO X50 (IMEI [protected]) from last 3 years, it is a great mobile, i loved it but suddenly after an update it got 1 green line (Dec 2023). I thought that the device is an old device, so maybe something has happened and it was in a usable condition, i didn't cared to get the screen replaced. I know it will cost a lot so i didn't thought about getting replaced. I don't have its bill but i have the original charger, earphones,...

        This is my order number -

        for which i had paid and my money was deducted from my credit card even though order is showing closed
        where is my money
        who has taken my money
        my bank customer support telling me that my money goes to Vivo
        help me as soon as possible
        when I mailed my problem they replied me with this :-
        We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

        In response to your mail, we would like to inform you that we received the amount against the order #[protected] the refund will be initiated from our end within 24-48 working hours. Post that the bank will credit the amount within 3-7 business days into your source account/mode of purchase.

        You are requested to kindly wait till the time frame.

        but after many days passed Vivo still didn't refund my money then I again mailed they sent me mail that I didn't provided the required details. What details? They had not asked for any details ever. Plus, they have all the details they need. They need to refund to the source that doesn't require to add any detail.

          I have ordered a phone t2 pro on 10th March and order I'd for that order is -

          I have paid the amount ₹20999 from my HDFC credit card ending with 1052 and my money was also deducted but order was not confirmed and it shows closed
          It has been more than 12 days and I didn't receive the refund yet I even contacted HDFC Bank customer care and they told me that my payment was successful on vivo India website
          So please help me refunding the money as soon as possible

          I am attaching the credit card statement in which u can see my money is deducted on Vivo on 10 th of March and it didn't come back yet
          They reply me via email that they have received payment against my order and told me that they will initiate the refund within 24-48 hours but they never refund even after 20 days

            Hi Sir/Madam,

            Request look into matter, where I have updated latest version of android 14, which was popup by vivo, after that my wifi was not working, hence approached to service center, where the technician was downgraded the version but wifi was still at same is not working.

            Instead of repair it they asked to replace the entire mother board, whereas my phone is working, even still using, except wifi issue.

            As I have not agreed upon paying for mother board replacement, which is company supposed to repair the wifi.

            They have intentionally mentioned small dent and back side cover crack, which was happened 5-6 month before, at then I have objected and called up customer support, where Mr Kailash from the CS team, assured me that will get it resolved, within 24 hours, but again the reply was that it is due to damage, I have to bear it, which it not at all the case, if the mother board was damaged due to drop or dent, entire phone supposed not to work properly or other functions also not working, where as it is working fine.

            I have several mail communication, call with customers support but they have not listening to it and lates updated me that it is not feasible, then also they will try to provide some discount. But if the phone wifi not working due to system update sent by company, it should bear by them only. I am ready to have independent checks also, if the wifi issue due to damage back cover which is 5-6 month, I will withdraw my complaint but if it is due to new update upgrade, company has to bear the mental trauma and expenses apart from the phone.

            Expecting a support here to redress the grievances of customer to protect customer interest.

            Hi Vivo Team,

            All details is being shared repeatedly on mail id, even here, still I am waiting for resolution.

            Do not try to show off as more concerned about customer complaint, as not seen it with your ground service center team and even few customer care executives, who tried it to divert the attention towards physical damage, which is not the case, as still I am using the same phone but without wifi connection.

              Green line issue on Vivo X60 5G again after 7-8 months after replacing

              Full Description- Well Nothing happened in particular, I was lying in my bed watching some reels, and out of nowhere, the Green line started coming, It was dim at first but then it became bold. I restarted my phone to see if it was a software issue or something but it still came.

              Last year around Feb or March I had the same issue with the phone and finally got the screen replaced in June....

                I have been using Vivo X60 for the last 2 .5 years and Last week I did a software update as recommended by the phone, After updating suddenly a green line appeared on my phone from top to bottom. On 20th January, I visited the local vivo service Centre ( Kamla nagar Delhi ) - they also confirmed that the issue is with a software update and Vivo provide free of cost service on this issue but currently we don't have display available and we have raised a request for display and after a few days they called me again that please visit the service center the display is available now. When i visited the service center on 28th jan 2024 they opened my phone for inspection and took some pics and send it to some kind of approval after they said your request has been rejected because we found some glue there and i told them that i have taken my phone to Vivo service (srinagar) for mic change you can check the records. as a customer how would i know what they are using and what not.Then they checked & informed me that we didn't find any records and the company is not going to replace my display with this regard i also told them i can show you the recipient of Vivo service centre(which i have also attached )where i have resolved my mic issue but they were like no you have done service from the third party. See my phone is 2.5 years old so there is a scratch in the back & no damage to the front glass. Highlighting this damage they are not willing to replace the display. This makes no sense to me. The phone display got affected by their software issue. What crap it is ?? Even if there is any physical damage they are responsible to replace the display because the issue started from their software update. I bought this phone for RS: 55000. This is not all acceptable. Highly dissatisfied with the Vivo service.

                  My Vivo X70 pro has green lines I visited the Mangalore service centre they told me that the have ordered the screen and we replace the scree in 2, 3 days now it's more that 3 weeks the have still not replaced the even tho I am ready to pay the expenses they are saying they don't have the parts available if the don't have the spare parts of ther flagship phones why are the costing the high price and they call x service are premium flagship phones please look into this issue I am tired o[censored]sing this green line phone I am ready to pay the replacement cost just replace my mobile screen worst service by Vivo I will nere ever recommend Vivo phones to anyone please repair my phone screen.                     My vivo x60 often gets a green line on the display. VIVO is intentionally pushing software updates to produce the green lines on the screen. when we visit the service center they ask to wait for a month to replace the screen or ask to pay more to exchange with a different model. this is a very cheap strategy to push your customers to buy your useless models. They are also not giving any guarantee that this line won't appear in the future their goal is to make the customer buy their other model. This kind of company should be banned for cheating their customers.

                      Using this mobile from fast 2 year suddenly an update came after an update I noticed that 2 green lining appeared on my screen which was really strange ...after I contacted the nearest Vivo service center in my locality they said that we don't take any responsibility regarding this your mobile screen has a little scratch in the front ..then I said that ok let it be but remove those 2 strange green lining that came after an update they were asking me to pay money... Why should I pay it wasn't my fault from which that lining came ..I request vivo.india to please look into this matter

                        I have been using Vivo X60 for the last 2 .2 years and December 2023 I did a software update as recommended by the phone, After updating suddenly a green line appeared on my phone from top to bottom. Today 5th Jan, I visited the local vivo service Centre ( Kankarbagh, Patna) - they also confirmed that the issue is with a software update & advised me to pay RS: 9000/- to replace the display. I told them that the problem is because of the software...

                        Vivo V25PRO DISPLAY Green line issue

                        I had purchased my vivo v25pro phone on August 2022 at the price 36000.Today i got green line issue after update, i went to the service center they told me that they will charge 12000 for the phone...I asked them that this is not my fault it happened due to the company but still they refused to repair Why are they charging money for something that is their fault ...12000 for a 36000 phone that is very bad...Many companies are offering free...

                        I had purchased my vivo v25pro phone 1.5 years back at 35000.Today i got green line issue after update, i went to the service center they told me that they will charge 12000 for the phone...I asked them that this is not my fault it happened due to the company but still they refused saying that there was a minor dent...Even if there was some physical damage which i got almost 5 months back...It did not affect my phone and it was very minor...Why are they charging money for something that is their fault ...12000 for a 35000 phone that is very bad...Many companies are offering free replacement for their phones getting this...Pls help me government and vivo

                          I have ordered a mobile phone on iqoo store from my Registered Email account: [protected]@gmail.com and contact number:[protected] on July 11 th after few days I got mail stating that my order with order I'd:[protected] has been cancelled and refund has been initiated they mentioned the refund reference I'd as:[protected]

                          After that i contacted my bank they said that they haven't received any refund and they are unable to see any refund with this I'd in their bank records

                          Again I contacted iqoo team they are not helping me in any kind it's been 5 months not received any refund from them please help me to get refund this Fraudulent iqoo team is saying we have intitated we done from our side but I haven't received any refund please help me it's around 1000 Rupess i even shared my bank statement for 3 times still not helping

                            Hello Team,

                            I am facing green line issue on my phone vivo x70 pro+. While I am watching movie it suddenly appears that green link and it is flickering that line constantly. I restarted my phone also, still the green issue is not resolved. Later When I search in internet, I have noticed so many issues like this from different customers.

                            I need screen replacement. Do the needful.
