VLCC — Bad Experience

Address:Malviya Nagar, Malviya Nagar

I had VLCC coupons which were sold through door-to-door marketing which I wanted to avail at VLCC Malviya Nagar.
I had a series of bad experiences which I will be listing below, followed by me paying INR 800 extra for the services when there was clearly a miscommunication.

1. I visited VLCC on 14th June 2021 as no one was picking up the phone and I wanted an appointment. When I reached there Ms. Priyanka told me that I can’t avail coupons before July.
This was nowhere mentioned in the T&C of the coupons. A lockdown was impending anyway, the pandemic is not over. It’s silly for a big company like VLCC to not foresee that and put it under terms and conditions.
Nonetheless, I told Priyanka that I am shifting to Mumbai on Sunday so I need to avail this.
She hesitantly gave me an appointment.
I told her the services I wanted to take were mani/Pedi and one more thing which I will inform later.
She tried to deny me of the 3rd service but I told her it’s given in the T&C.
She finally acknowledged that and insisted that I tell her right at the moment. I asked for half an hour and asked her to give me a call or her number since these guys were not picking the landline.
Her phone was discharged so she said she will call me later, she never did.
P.S: She had written down my appointment in a register.

2. On 16th June, I had my appointment from 4-5 PM. I reached on time. Priyanka was there at the reception and she denied the appointment. I clearly told her that I came 2 days ago and she wrote this in her appointment. She went to talk to the Manager/Owner and wasted 5-10 mins when I already had taken the appointment.
She came back and realized that I was the same person who was shifting and hence she had allowed me to take the manicure, pedicure.

3. It was apparently a dry manicure and pedicure in the coupon and I asked for details, which Priyanka couldn’t explain except for the part that cuticles are not removed in this process.
I asked her if I can pay a little more to get that done. She told me it will take INR 800 more to do the same. I had already spent INR 2400 on the coupons (I had bought 2 and it was going to get wasted for me cause I was shifting) and I was in no mood to waste any more money.
But I really wanted to get cuticles removed from
My hands so I told her that I want to avail myself a regular manicure and dry pedicure.
She misunderstood that I wanted both.
The process of manicure/pedicure started for me and my friend joined me so I didn’t pay attention to the steps of the manicure and pedicure.
I any which way, have never even heard of a dry manicure/pedicure and as I mentioned above, was not explained the concept properly.

4. Priyanka charged me INR 800 and took the coupons too.
The coupon price was INR 1300. So, I explained to her that in a way I am paying INR 2100 for the mani/Pedi which is bizarre.
I also told her that I wanted a regular manicure and dry pedicure, to which she said ‘maam maine socha aapne kaha ki mujhe manicure bhi chahiye’.
I told her that it’s her problem. She said ‘aapko rok dena chahiye tha’. I explained to her again that I have no idea of what a dry manicure/pedicure is.
I asked her what a regular manicure/pedicure is charged for. She said 1100+taxes - around INR 1300.

If the charges are the same in the coupons and system for dry and regular, what kind of cheating and marketing hoax is VLCC up to!!!

I would like to highlight that please don’t consider the consumer stupid, and don’t make the consumer feel inferior just because they are not paying in cash but coupons. The coupons are PAID FOR.
That’s what Ms. Priyanka made me feel and I ended up paying much more than I intended.

Request you to refund INR 800, otherwise, I will be sending this mail to higher authorities in your company.
I have worked in retail and I very well know what BAD EXPERIENCES and POOR SERVICE IS!

I would also like to mention that when I had it with Ms. Priyanka, I requested to talk to the owner/manager who was very understanding of the whole scenario. She let me explain the entire situation and offered me 20% discount. But I am not ready to settle for 20% discount.
