I am filing this complaint against Zoomcar India Pvt. Ltd. regarding the non-payment of an insurance claim for my car Toyota Glanza.
The car was booked by Zoomcar on 21st July 2025, and their guest made an accident on same day.
Zoomcar on 24th July 2025 approved the insurance amount related to damages incurred during my car booking. The approved amount was to be paid directly to the garage handling the repairs. However, despite repeated follow-ups and confirmation of approval, the payment has not been made to the garage till date.
This delay has caused financial hardship and inconvenience to both myself and the garage. Zoomcar’s failure to honor the approved claim constitutes deficiency of service and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act.
I request the Consumer Court to direct Zoomcar India Pvt. Ltd. to:
1. Immediately release the approved insurance amount to the garage.
2. Compensate me for the delay and inconvenience caused. Rs 1500 * 365 days plus for the torture and mental harrassment for an year.
3. Ensure such lapses do not occur in future.
