Agoda — cheating and fraud

I had erroneously made a booking through agoda on the 24th of april, 2019 and as soon as i realized the same, immediately within a few hours on the same day, sent them a mail informing them about it. The booking was for maplewood resort, gangtok for the 2nd of may until 5th may, 2019.

As mentioned on the portal of agoda, there should have been an unconditional refund, if cancelled within a certain time period and in my case it was not only cancelled within the prescribed timeframe for refund but was booked erroneously too.

Several mails have been sent to agoda since the 24th of april, 2019 but they have been denying the refund and the reason being the hotel isn’t ready to refund. (The irony is that the above mentioned hotel in which my booking got confirmed doesn’t have any cancellation policy too, as such)

Agoda is cheating and going back by their own policies they have put up on their portal. Feel cheated and disappointed with this attitude. I am planning a legal recourse on failure of refund from agoda. Not only the refund but the compensation for making me go through this harrowing time.

Hello all, am still awaiting my refund from Agoda. No response received so far in regards to my refund from Agoda.
