I had booked hotel stay at Ras Resort Silvassa for 2 days through www.agoda.com website. Hotel was booked for 21st Dec'21-23 Dec'21.
and booking Id for the same is[protected].
While booking the hotel, it was clearly mentioned at Agoda website that cancellation is free and there wont be any amount charged for cancelling the booking. i have attached screen shot from the website clearly mentioning free cancellation.
Due to some reasons, I had to cancel my hotel booking, however to my surprise while cancellation, I was informed that 30% of total booking amount will be charged.
I raised this issue with Agoda Customer Care to clarify and they responded that amount charged is as per hotel's cancellation policy.
If hotel's policy is not providing free cancellation then why Agoda is misleading customers by mentioning FREE CANCELLATION at website.
This is clearly a case of fraud, cheating and misleading by Agoda where their website is mentioning free cancellation however at the time of actual cancellation they are cheating the customer with the excuse of hotel policy.
This is totally un-ethical and fraud practice from AGODA where customer has been cheated and ended up in loss of money.
As i have faced the monetary loss in this fraud activity by Agoda, i want refund of the amount charged for my hotel boking cancellation.
Requesting to resolve the issue.
