Hello,
I have a Airtel 4G home WiFi connection. I have 10GB of monthly data limit.

Incident -1:
Data got exhausted in 2 days with much usage. when I enquired at the customer support, they told me that 8GB of data has been used from mid night 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM when none of my family members were awake. I checked all my devices in case there was any auto-update. To my surprise none of my devices auto updates even if it is so 8GB in 1-1.5 hours not likely.
Incident-2:
I bought smartbytes worth Rs. 600/- (5GB data). Same thing repeated after 2 days. 4GB data exhausted in few hours.
I requested Airtel to provide my any proofs of download, MAC address etc. but cold response from them.
Incident-3
Now I changes WiFi password and device password. As an additional security I also added MAC address filter with only my home devices added.
I added 1GB data worth Rs. 200/-. this time I tracked data usage religiously. But as soon as I switched on this morning within few mins of reading news on websites 500MB vanished.
It looks like a serious problem with airtel in data usage and protection. Response from Airtel call center is cold, they just copy paste standard responses without understanding the problem.
