I mistakenly left my FastTag on my sold car, which was constantly passing through Tolls and deducting my money through Airtel Bank that it was attached to.
It wasn't the new owners fault, as it was driven by his employee and he wasn't aware, and neither we could reach out due to network non availability on the highway.
On asking the Airtel folks to block the Fastag, in spite of giving all validation, they then asked me to write emails to wecare. By then almost 200Rs was gone from my Airtel Bank.
As a last resort I CLEARED my Airtel bank account, so that atleast the minimum amount would stop auto toll payments.
Through emails I have requested to first block and then detach my fasttag from Airtel Bank as Im worried, although the new owner has informed me that he has removed the FAstag sticker. I have also asked to close my Airtel bank account as this is a big problem.
This policy of auto charge can be a real deterrent and even after my emails and phones, Airtel hasnt taken any action. Hopefully, raising consumer complaints can resolve this. Was this information helpful? |
