Sir, i have an airtel fixed line + broadband connection with number[protected].
It is an adsl connection and the current plan is 1999+taxes plan. I had called airtel customer care, probably on 2nd feb 2017, to change the plan to 1099+taxes. They asked me to call back on my billing start date (5th of every month) for plan change.
I called their customer care on 5th - they were unable to change plan due to a backend error and asked me to wait for 3 days. I called them again on 8th - same response, wait for 3 days. They also refused to give me a reference number. I emailed their customer care on 10th - from whom i have not received any satisfactory response till date.
I called them back on 14th feb, and their customer rep told me that i have to switch to airtel's v-fiber plan by paying 1000rs, only after which i will be able to change plans. After i reasoned with him, he agreed to discount the 1000rs by giving 25% discount for next 3 months. But again, he was unable to change the plan due to backend error.
After that i mailed their appellate authority, for which i got no response.

Thus airtel has retained me in a higher tier plan for past 15 days, in spite of repeated attempts by me to switch plans, for which i will have to pay - in spite of them being at fault. I request you to look into this unethical business practice by airtel and provide me with a resolution.
