[Resolved] Airtel — Airtel postpaid and consumer care farce! | |||
I am in the Ministry of Defence and have been posted to delhi recently. I had applied for a airtel postpaid number in Delhi from its Satya Niketan outlet on 11 Dec 2014. I get a call on 12 dec from airtel that address verification would be carried out on 12 or 13 dec. No verification was carried out till now (15 dec2014) by anyone from airtel. On contacting the satya niketan, new delhi airtel outlet on 15 dec 2014 i was told that they (airtel office) have punched a wrong address in their system!! And now I will have to resubmit another set of ID documents!!! On my saying that since the mistake has been from airtel side they only should rectify it and why should I be submitting another set of ID n address proof, they said it is company policy!!! Is it company policy to pass on the mistakes and errors of the company to the consumers??? Also, when i tried calling the Airtel consumer care numbers they are either not responding or do not have any option of registering a complaint., and neither is there any option given to speak to their consumer support representative. It is a MOST PATHETIC service I have ever come across!!! Was this information helpful? | |||
