Airtel — Asking for service which I haven't used | |||||
Hi, Myself Akshay Sonawane, I have started using Airtel 4g from April 2015 and stopped using it after 2 months only because I got another internet provider at my place, but I did not initiated request to terminate number so I received bill of 2 months including month of May and June which I thought irrelevant because I should be getting one month only which is of May because I used the service till may only. So one fine day around 6th Aug I got a call from Mr. Mahesh Sharma from Airtel saying sir you have a due bill of 2 months and you need to pay this ASAP then I asked him about all the details and then he said sir it is okay you just pay for the service you have used and we will wave off your remaining amount and the bill amount was 3415. Then I paid same amount on that day only and requested to terminate the number once the remaining amount gets waved off and he said okay sir we will do that. But again one month later I got another bill saying you need to pay this bill ASAP even though I havent use their service I called up Mahesh again and I asked him about the termination of number he said sir I will check and it will happen in few days. I said okay no problem but please do it then he said sir trust me I will do it then again I called up his number then there was one executive named Neha received my phone (It was Ganesh visarjan that day) and said sir tomorrow is Sunday so call me on Monday and I will terminate your number right away so I tried calling her but she didn't received my number. then I mailed to Airtel grievances office complaining about everything (nodal.[protected]@in.airtel.com) but again no success from here too. so today I called up Mahesh again and now he is saying sir do you have any proof that you requested for termination I said I have called you multiple times then he asked do you have history of it I said obviously no, then he said sir you never requested for termination and you need to pay all the bill we cannot help you in this. Then I tweeted to Airtel on twitter saying all this thing then one executive called up and said sir we have checked all the details but we cannot do anything as there is no termination request on our portal.
