[Resolved]  Airtel — Balance deducted without consent for vas superstore

Today i.e on 05/July/2016 at 20:51 while I was having dinner I got two messages, one for subscribing to VAS Airtel Super store ( Which I don't even know exists) and second showing Rs.35 charged for the service. Within five minutes I called customer service and complained to them that I dint subscribe to above said service and asked for restoring the balance deducted. But they were adamant and insisted that I only subscribed to it by clicking some link. They are resorting to cheap tricks to earn some extra money. These things used to happen some ten years back. My family has a 3 prepaid and 2post paid airtel connections and 1 airtel dth connection. Not satisfied with the response from customer service rep, I e-mailed the complaint at [protected]@in.airtel.com

Airtel resolved the issue by adding back the amount Rs. 35 to my balance as a one time benefit. But they still believe that the service was activated by me. If telecom operators can mask call drops with the help of technology they can as well use technology to automatically subscrbibe for services without customers intervention.Anyway all is well that ends well. Hope I don't face this kind of situation in the future. Thanks for their quick response
