Airtel prepaid user for 18 years.
Recent days they are changing and altering the entry level recharge plans to their likings.
Recently months their was RC23 plan for keeping the sim alive for a month, after that they slowly hiked to RC49 and now its & RC79.
I usually recharge RC48 for 28days - 3GB data plan that would be sufficient for me as i don't make many calls.
Nowadays they are simply robbing people. I have recharged RC19 ( twice due to network problem) and topped up 10 ruppes recharge to send SMS verification to validate the some apps on that number.
Customer service is very poor. 198 IVR didn't have any response for any keys i would press. After going to nearby shop i came to know that i need to recharge 129 just to send one SMS..! even though i have a validity and some balance in that active number.
So frustrated and even tried porting to another network. After their ridiculous price hike. so many opting out of the network so they want to rob as much as they can before they leave.
Only those can afford high recharge value can have all the features and rest cannot use the basic features even if they have main balance in their account. TRAI needs to regularise these things and help poor people . Those can't afford 300 or 400 per month.
