My airtel digital tv consumer no. is [protected].
I have the above connection since the last 6-7 years and have changed my set top box nearly 4-5 times on the advice of the airtel service engineer. last year the service engineer suggested that i buy a new model hd set top box with recording facility with the dolby sound facility if i want a good reception, which i did by making some extra payment and which worked fro some time and then started giving me trouble. i then made a complain to the customer service and they told me that my set top box warranty need to be renewed and for which i had to make a payment which also i did. my set box was replaced at that time with a similar new model set top box and was working ok and is still under warranty.
15 days back i again started getting a problem and my tv was showing double images and shadows for which i complained and the airtel engineer came and after checking said that the set box need to be changed and since it was under warranty they would change it for free. he next day brought a replacement set top box but which was of an old model and not of the same new model like the one i had specially bought. i refused to accept the old model box and after that i have regularly complaining to airtel customer service but everytime they are trying to convince me to accept the old model set top box in replacement for my new model set top box. not only that their service provider in my area mr. nadeem and area manager mr. rane when contacted were very rude and responded with a very negative attittude and everytime disconnected the phone and banging the phone in my face and insulting me. is this the way airtel one of the lagest corporates treats its customers. my issue still has not been resovled and as recent as today the call centre called me and their floor supervisor spoke to me very arrogantly and told me that either i accept the box that they are giving me or they are closing the case.
I am thus approaching you with a humble request to please look into the matter and resolve this issue at the earliest to my satisfaction.
