Airtel — Excess Charging to Deactivating Customers - Reg.

I was using airtel sim no.[protected] for my dongle with Rs.950/- plan (unlimited plan 3G upto 6GB thereafter 128kbps plan). while paying my monthly bill i came to know that they have introduced new 950 plan (unlimited plan 3G upto 10GB). I have requested service executive at Kodambakkam Airtel centre to change my plan to new scheme. He suggested me to utilize fully in my old sim [protected] and deactivate it and to buy new sim with unlimited plan 4G upto 10GB. As per his suggestion i have utilized fully in old no and have deactivated it on 18/06/2015 and got new sim no.[protected]. Now they have charged me Rs.3893.23 stating that as per prorata basis i should have utilized 2662.4 MB only above that they are charging 3 paise/10KB. I have utilized upto my limit as per the suggestion of the service executive at kodambakkam centre, on 18/06/2015 before deactivation i was in the unlimited plan and i have the right to utilized 6GB fully on any day of the month and there is no daily limit prescribed for utilization. Hence this is clearly a fraud, since the service executive suggested me to utilize fully before deactivation and suggested for the deactivation to get a new sim.

No action was taken at the end of airtel, they have simply given a reply to dilute the resistance.
