[Resolved] Airtel — False and unethical bill for my airtel mobile | |
Hi, I have been an airtel subscriber for the last four years (Mobile No. [protected]). Unfortunately, I realize now that airtel customer services are more aimed at fleecing customer than providing services. The last couple of days have been harrowing and I have seen no resolution. I am surprised, shocked and pained at the lack of professionalism and empathy of Airtel. 1. I have been using my Airtel connection on International Roaming since Jan 6th 2017. However, Data services have not been used at all. 1. To my utter shock, for the billing period from Feb 20th 2017 to 19th Mar 2017, I have been wrongly charged for mobile internet data when it was permanently switched off on my mobile and it was not used at all.It says total usage/pulse as 3933(39 MB) which no means can be used and for that I have charged Rs. 29914.39. 2.Raised a request no. 74955413 for verifying the dispute and request is closed without any resolution and stating that the charges are valid. I completely challenge this as false. The billing system at your end has mal-functioned and I have been the bearer of this. 3. My credit limit was raised to Rs. 9200 Rs on Feb 20th 2017, without my requesting. If my usage had exceeded that amount, why was it not blocked beyond the credit limit? Why suddenly did I receive this shocking bill? 4. There were no charges for the entire month but suddenly between March 2nd to March 4th, I have been charged for mobile data usage which was not turned on once even in past two months as I am currently using my local USA number for calls, sms and data. 5. For next bill cycle started on 20th March, 2017, I just used the voice call to 121 for not more than 7-8 mins to report this discrepancy and other calls were made on your toll free number [protected] and yet I got a usage alert for Rs 19000, my international roaming has been blocked. If this is the way Airtel's billing systems work, I am sorry to say that I will challenge this in the consumer court or the highest courts of the country. This is gross harassment and cheating and it seems that Airtel is trying to offset its losses by falsely charging customers. In this era of transparency, such unprofessional management is unexpected from a company as big as Airtel. I do not intend to pay these false and unethical charges and I would like a full clarification and revocation of these false charges on my account from Airtel immediately. Kindly help in this regard.
