[Resolved] Airtel — Inflated mobile bill | |||||
My mobile number is [protected]. Since last 2 'months i have been getting errenous billing. For june airtel rectified it. For july they still haven't. The problem - i use the internet service provided by airtel. I have a package of 1 gb internet. When the usage comes to 100%, i get a mail alerting me. For july, i got a mail on 5th july 12:34 am. Post that i have used internet sporadically which means that my usage from 5th july to 15 july (My billing cycle) should be around 200mb. This would make my total usage to 1.2 gb when i got the bill it shows 2.7gb consumption. How can this happen. There cannot be a deviation of 1.7gb. Am very confident that similar to previous month, there is an error even this month. I have raised it with the airtel nodal officer and appellate authority. They have said they would get back and closed the ticket. I raised the issue again and get to know that they cannot provide me the breakup of the calculation. They also gave it in writing that they have state of the art technology to track the internet usage. If this is the case then how can there be an error of 1.7gb.
