[Resolved] Airtel — international roaming pack without consent or warning | |||
I have been an airtel customer for nearly ten years. I use a mobile, broadband and dth from airtel. This month i got a shocker of a postpaid bill from them. They have charged me international roaming charges of 3000... Twice!!! I was travelling to europe. I was transitting through frankfurt. All i did was switch on my phone at when i landed and connected it to the airport wifi. These guys just load some international roaming and charge 3k. Not once... Twice!!!. I didn't even get a warning saying they are going to charge me!!! I was using a local simcard in europe. I didn't even use the airtel. I got a 6k extra on my bill. This is daylight robbery... I am going to tell me entire family to switch to some other network. Not that airtel would care... Aim sure they have a large enough customer base. Iam fine with these guys resolving my issue. I have spoken to the customer care twice. Each time they tell me they will resolve the bill in 48 hours. My bill due date was the day before. I paid the amount after deducting what i think is the disputed amount. Now i have already started getting a reminder when i make outgoing calls that my bill hasn't been paid... This is nothing short of extortion in addition to harassment... Was this information helpful? | |||
Feb 15, 2019 Complaint marked as Resolved Airtel waived half the amount on my bill. I wasn't exactly happy with what they had to offer. But i had to take it as they wouldn't really care Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. | |||
