Airtel — No action on termination request and bills generated for 2 months | |||
I have raised a request towards Airtel customer care to terminate my broadband connection with number[protected]_dsl on 30th Jun. Airtel representative suggested me activate safe custody instead of disconnection and there will not be any charges for same and I can re-activate connection once I relocate. There was no action on safe custody activation, I have not placed any request to re-activate my connection at my new location. Still Airtel is keep on generating bill. I have communicate same when 1st bill was generated and now they have generated bill for 2nd month as well. Please sort out my issue and take serious action against operator. This weekend I visited personally to Airtel outlet in Velachery Chennai to give written application along with fiber switch & wifi router to settle it down. But they denied to accept and give receipt of such communication, as it's different state.
I wonder how then Airtel Executive in Gurgaon suggested me to continue connection even after changing state, if surrender request is accepted by another state.
Below is written communication, which I wanted to submit @ Airtel outlet, Velachery Chennai. WIth this update I consider my concern is closed now. If there is any Airtel should update there feedback on this page.
Regarding Broadband Connection –[protected]

• 06-Jul-2015: Airtel executive suggested to activate Safe Custody instead
• 18-Jul-2015: Safe Custody activation email initiated
• 22-Jul-2015: Reminder email sent to activate Safe Custody activation
• 04-Sep-2015: Email to nodal officer
• 05-Sep-2015: Complaint raised in consumer forum (ID: 1137104)
There is no action from Airtel on my request raised on 30th Jun, 18th Jul & 22nd Jul and continuously bill got generated for next 2 months. Same communication I have sent to nodal officer and also raised complaint in consumer forum, but there is no response from Airtel side on these complaints. Instead I am getting multiple reminders to make payment for connection which I have never used since 15th Jul.
I have used this connection only till 15th Jul and raised safe custody request on 18th Jul, hence I should not pay anything beyond 18th Jul. But I am getting multiple reminders to make payment of 3000+ Rs.
With this communication I am handing over equipment (Router & Fiber switch) at nearest Airtel outlet.
