I had done an online recharge of Rs459/- for Airtel prepaid mobile no: [protected] on 27/04/2016 through ICICI Bank Internet Banking.
Till now, I have neither received any service against that recharge, nor a refund. Upon contacting Airtel customer care, and also escalating to their higher redressal authorities, they said that the recharge was "successful", but since I had done it through a "third party", they cannot refund the amount. On the other hand, the bank is telling me that they have carried on the transaction successfully and only the biller, that is Airtel can refund the amount.
When I forwarded ICICI Bank transaction confirmation email to them, they again repeated the same thing. Neither Airtel nor ICICI Bank is refunding the money, nor is Airtel providing service for the amount.
