[Resolved]  Airtel — No Broadband/Fixedline Activation Even after they committed

I have applied for a new Broadband Fixedline connection on Sep 30, 2014. I have been told that the tags are not available in my area so they cannot provide new me connection. But I got a call from Airtel on Oct 15, 2014 and I have been told that the tags are free now and I can take a new connection in the name of my firm. Same day Mr. Rahul (+91-[protected]) came to my office and collected all the documents with Rs. 1000/- as the installation charges. On the next day (Oct 16, 2014) I got a message from Airtel, "We have received your documents. Your installation request 28013115 is being processed and will take approx. 3 working days. Thank you so much for choosing airtel fixedline/broadband. For queries, please call[protected]". Today (Oct 20, 2014) I got another call from Airtel Installation Department and not I have been told that the tags are not available so I cannot take a new connection and my installation charges will be refunded by Cheque within 20 days. But I refused to take the refund. I tried to contact Mr. Rahul several times but he is not picking up the phone or just say "I'll call you in few minutes". But no reply after that. I request you to look into the issue and resolve my issue asap. I am not going to accept the refund as Airtel is at fault. They contacted me as I can take a new connection so now they should provide me a new connection. My CEF No. is 3757621. Please get this done soon as I am waiting for this line for too long. My business suffers as I have to do the printing work for my Firm's promotion but I need to get the Airtel Landline work done before that so I can use that number in printing. Regards, Deepak

I got another call from Airtel today (Oct 21, 2014). This time Ms. Nandita (+91-[protected]) called me up and kept on saying that the tags are not available in your area so we can't provide you the connection. One thing to note, that I paid Rs. 1000/- installation charges in cash. She said that whether I should cancel the connection and wait for the refund that will come by cheque in 21 days at my address or I could call her back in 1 month to see whether tags are now available or not (What a Joke!). I again notified her clearly that I am not going to cancel the request. She agreed that there might be some tags that are available but needs repairing. So, I asked her to get those fix and provide me connection. But as ussal, (Another Excuse) it will take time. Definitely collecting money from customer is pretty easy but providing service is very difficult. I want you to take immediate action on the same as I am losing my precious time as well as bearing financial loss due to this. Kindly, get this fixed asap otherwise I need to escalate this issue to a higher level.
