My number was in safe- custody. I tried to extend my safe custody by paying its charge at myairtel website. At that time I came to know that my number is deactivated. I contacted customer care, they told my number has been deactivated and I need to reissue my number.
As per rule if I had not paid safe custody charge, they should have started my services and charged on the basis of my plan. But they deactivated it on the day when my safe custody ended.
In addition to that, they should have informed me when my safe custody was over and they will deactivate my sim. But hey never did.
Now they want me to come to India from China to activate my SIM that is not feasible.
I paid for safe custody only to keep my number, how can they deactivate it.
This is totally against consumer rights. Airtel is doing whatever they want without giving prior information to consumers.
I am using this number for the last 10 years. If I am not able to get my SIM reactivated then I will file for monetary compensation. Was this information helpful? |
