Airtel — poor response and failed to do porting...

A few days back, i wanted to avail porting services from airtel mobile numbers by opting for family package. My wife and child has vodafone numbers whereas i have airtel number for many years. Since the signal is very weak from my residence, i decided to do porting for other two numbers by opting family package from airtel.

I had touch time from vodafone to get the acceptance since they wanted these two numbers to be retained. Finally, i made zero balance and obtained porting code from vodafone and did whatever is required for airtel.

They took my aadhaar number, thumb impression, id proof etc. And after a week, they asked me to send sms to few numbers and get the porting codes and forward their retail show room. They gave airtel sim cards and asked me to insert once vodafone is disconnected. Inspite of repeated calls from my side asking when the connection will be through. They keep saying in a day or two and almost 5 times i visited airtel showroom and many calls made to 121vodafone need to confirm, vodafone says we have zero balance in your account airtel has to do the rest, airtel customer care is saying there is no due and nothing is pending from vodafone, its internal process delay. Airtel show room staff saying i need to again pay this month charges to vodafone and start the process again since one month is over.

I got fed up and dropped the idea of porting mobile numbers to airtel. Totally fed up by wasting almost one month time running around except paying money for family package without using the services and making zero balance for vodafone connections.
