Airtel — Porting in No-Service Period 30 hours and counting
I have requested to port my number from bsnl to airtel, (UPC: BA385717) due to week bsnl signal in my area. I got an SMS on alternate number that airtel SIM is activated and to dial 59059 for tele-verification and my previous SIM stopped working. The new SIM still says 'unregistered-SIM', so I cannot dial the number for tele-verification. I was told the no-service period will only be for 2 hours during midnight but I am disconnected for past 30 hours. My business transactions were delayed as OTP's are sent to this number which is now blocked on both providers. I have raised complaint OT[protected] with the airtel customer care (where they again promise response in 2hours but took 12 hours to reply) and they closed the case asking me again to dial 59059 for tele-verification without bother to check that I cannot make dial from an 'Unregistered-SIM'. Very irresponsible behavior, if they cannot meet their promised time frame of 2 hours, at-least have courtesy of intimating when it will be resolved. If such behavior continues, there is no point in paying premium rates for Airtel, I can as well go for cheaper plans in other providers. Was this information helpful?
