Airtel — Prepaid to Postpaid connection unsuccessful | |||
Hi, I had asked for a Airtel prepaid to postpaid conversion on Monday, 9th March 2015. The documents were collected promptly and charge was taken. I got the message - "Prepaid to postpaid conversion of your airtel number [protected] has been initiated. Your address verification will happen within 72 hours" - on March 12, 2015. The executive called me twice but did not come for address verification despite my clear instructions. They did not give me any intimation as to why they could not come for the verification. Today - i.e March 15th, 2015, I get a message from Airtel - "Due to incomplete verification of your billing address, your prepaid no. could not be converted to postpaid no." I am extremely dissapointed with the customer service of Airtel. It was the duty of the Airtel executive to come for the address verification just like they came to collect documnets. Now, I am asked to go to the airtel centre and fight with the authorities for details which I am not willing to do.If i do not get a quick solution for my postpaid conversion, il port my number.
