Have contacted airtel customer care for converting my postpaid mobile no [protected] to prepaid mobile no. As instructed I have paid the pending amount and have submitted my documents at santhome Bharathi airtel showroom on 10th Jan 2015. They have informed that the prepaid Sim will be activated in 24 hours. It's been 9 days still the Sim is not yet activated. Also I have called customer care on alternative days to remind about Sim activation. They have mentioned that complaint have been registered and reference no[protected]. Seems like they wouldn't process the request until the next bill is generated. Please take necessary action for prepaid sim activation WITHOUT any further bill payment for this 9 days as its their fault that they haven't processed the request. Was this information helpful? | |

Though postpaid to prepaid conversion can be done only at Santhome branch. We get calls frequently from airtel enquiring about the branch where we have submitted the documents post which no actions are taken. It is clear that they are waiting for the next bill to be generated.
Its been 16 days from day I have raised request for post paid to prepaid conversion. And 10 days from the day I have raised complaint to airtel customer care. Reference complaint no. : 5986 025 2
Please close this at the earliest without further bill payment as bill is already paid.
