I registered for airtel secure package which provides insurance for mobile of the user. I am apple user and instead of buying insurance from apple, i trusted airtel with my phone insurance. I was a postpaid airtel user back then. After a few months, i changed my connection from postpaid to prepaid and airtel representative didn't tell me of any loss of packages that i had booked if i would change my mobile plan. Also, there was no email or message from airtel that my plan was de-activated because of plan change.
My mobile phone broke down recently and when i reached out to them to claim insurance, they told me that it isn't valid anymore. Due to their lack of customer concern, i will have to bear all the cost of getting the phone repaired myself which i assumed would be covered under insurance. I tried reaching out to customer care but they were not at all helpful. Half of them didnt even know what airtel secure is!
