Without my knowledge/notice unwanted services were activated by airtel on my number, and the bill went up from regular inr 350 to inr 1729 for 1st month, to inr 10780 on 2nd month and inr 16056 on 3rd month.
During the complaint, the call center rep mentioned that it could be software/technical glitch that led to the activation o[censored]nwanted service and airtel would probe the issue with the concerned technical team and rectify the bills.
Its been 45 days since the first complaint call was made and there is no response on the probe with the technical/software team. I was continuously charged on the unwanted service and now my number is barred completely.
Since a month, i have reached out to airtel call center, have written on twitter / dm to airtel but there is no movement on my case with the technical team, but billing team says the bill is valid. Should i bear the charges for the unwanted services that airtel activated on my number.
P. S. Unwanted service that was activated is “international data usage”. I had never asked to activate this service.in fact, i had asked to deactivate this service in nov-2016. Without my notice airtel has activated on 26-april-2019 on my number and charging me since then. Was this information helpful? |
