Blue Dart Express — Accepting shipments for home delivery but refusing the same at the arrival station.

This is my complaint against the local bluedart office in Kalimpong. I had raised a complaint against them to bluedart customer care for asking me to pick up my courier. When i asked them to deliver it at my doorstep as thats what i paid for I was told ‘’WE NEVER HOME DELIVER PARCELS, EITHER COLLECT IT OR IT WILL BE SENT BACK’’.
Wow! Then i said I would call up the Bluedart customer care and complain regarding the same. To my shock the reply i received was ‘’YOU CAN DO WHATEVER’’ so casually in the local language. They were not bothered.

When i spoke to other people in my area regarding bluedart, they had the same thing to say. Bluedart kalimpong never home delivers and we are forced to pick up our couriers from their office. Owing to that people said they preferred DEHLIVERY, DTDC and ECOM xpress as they home delivered the shipments.

I moved here from abroad four months back and thats why i had no idea about it.
So I decided to file a complaint via a phone call to bluedart customer care.
When they inquired regarding my delivery to the local bluedart office they were told that my area TIRPAI falls under another pin code i think the CC agent on the call told me 734316 which is rubbish. 734316 is Topakhana which is higher and further that my area. And also my house is on Tirpai main road.
How conveniently the local bluedart office came up with an excuse for not delivering the courier.
I guess the entire TIRPAI people are fools to use 734301 as their pin code. My in laws have been using it since they built this house(40 years ago). No wonder this local bluedart office has been getting away with this excuse everytime a person filed a complaint. You can check their office’s negative review about not home delivering in google as well.

Its just one simple explanation for this, to want less manpower as with that they can save money. Hiring agents for home delivery would cost them money.

I don’t mind picking up my stuff and I will pick it up in few minutes but this unprofessional practice of deceiving people while booking by saying that they will get their courier home delivered and charging them accordingly but later forcing them to pick up their shipment should be stopped.

Customers can’t be charged and given false promises of home delivery and made to pick up their courier instead.

Whether its local bluedart office or Bluedart head quarters its the same organisation. By Bluedart selecting the wrong service provider in cities like kalimpong have caused us customers great inconvenience.

Better inform us well in advance that even though our pincode is serviceable but still we will have to pick up our shipment in kalimpong so that atleast we can move to other courier companies to save us from this hassle.
