I bought this laptap HP Compaq Presario CQ40-330TU. Neither the company brochure nor the seller informed me at the time of purchase that this laptop can install only Vista and not XP. In the seller's web site only vista drivers are available. I feel quite cheated and am now left with an expensive piece of paperweight.

I believe that a hardware seller should sell only the hardware and leave the software selection to the consumer. At least the consumer must be properly informed about any software limitations.

So caveat preempter -- buyers beware. This compaq laptop can take for an expensive drive if you want to install XP.
