[Resolved]  Indian Railway — Miss management at AC coaches

In all the pantry cars of Indian railway pantry car ,they are nit providing biscuit with tea.The qulity of food is aldo extremely bad.

The departure time of Sealdah Rajdhani is 4:40 pm, but still today's (20/6/2009) chart has not been prepared for the train till now (3:15pm). The passengers who are travelling today are left in a dilemma. And this is not happening for the first time for this train but is a regular feature.Who is responsible for this callousness and condemnable attitude? Who is accountable?? When will the things improve?

SUBJECT: GRIEVANCES FOR PROVIDING FACILITIES TO THE PASSENGERS TRAVELING IN THE NORTHERN RAILWAYS

R/Madam,

With due respect, we here by submit the following points on the above noted subject for your favourable consideration & early n/action please.
 FOR STARTING A NEW EXPRESS TRAINS & ADDING EXTRA COACHES FOR GENERAL PUBLIC ON DELHI-AMRITSAR ROUTE
Your goodself is reqested to start a new Janta express train for general type of passengers (without any reservation/sleeper coaches) from Delhi to Amritsar & back; which is very essential on this route, as all other express trains on this route are overcrowded, which are having a few general coaches, as a result of which, passengers especially, like senior citizens, children & ladies feel inconvinience& some times got injured in traveling. To overcome this difficulty please start a new Janta Express Train (without any reservation coaches) for general passengers & further requested to add/increase four to five general coaches with express trains running on this route so as to avoid / check havvy rush in the express trains.
 FOR EXTENDING NEW EXPRESS TRAINS LIKE GARIB-RATH & JAN_SHATABDI ON DELHI-AMRITSAR ROUTE.
Keeping in view the difficulties faced by the general public, due to havvy rush of passengers in the trains, we further request to start / extend new trains between Delhi & Amritsar & back, namely GARIB-RaTH & JAN-SHATABDI, alikewise these trains already ply on the route between Delhi & Chandigharh.
 TO REGULARIZE / MAKE DAILY SERVICE OF TRAIN NO.4037 UP & 4038 DOWN (DELHI-PATHANKOTE EXPRESS)
Yourgoodself is requested, keeping in view the above explained situation, to regularize daily the train no. 4037 UP & 4038 DOWN(Delhi-Pathankote) express & make its daily service, instead of on alternate days, as running now.This can be easily done as UP & DOWN side both trains are different, alikewise of other express trains ; like MALWA, DADAR etc.trains.
 TO CUT SHORT THE ROUTE OF SAHID EXPRESS (PREVIOUSLY FLYING MAIL EXPRESS )
Sahid express train is plying / running between Bihar state - some station to Amritsar & usually this train becomes late for many hrs due to long distance.
So, this train route may be cutshort to run between Delhi & Amritsar only, to restore its previous route
 RESERVATION IN THE WAITING LIST



We have generally noted, that while getting reservation of seats in the trains like SHANE-PUNJAB (train no.2497 up & 2498 down ) etc., waiting list is reached upon to 400 numbers, in that case railways generally charge reservation charges from passengers without making any arrangements / adding extra coaches for their sittings, as a result passengers feel inconvinience, due to nonavailability of seats, we suggest alternatively to allow such type of passengers(waiting list) to travel in other trains or add extra coaches, failing which railways should not issue reservation tickets on the waiting .
 EXEMPTION /REDUCTION OF FINE FOR NOT HOLDING SUPERFAST CHARGE TICKET & MAKING ITS AVAILABILITY ON THE PLATFORM
ITSELF (FROM MACHINES, BOOTHS ETC.)

 MAKING PROPER ARRANGEMENTS OF WATER & CLEANLINESS IN THE RAILWAYS

 MAKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR TOILETS IN THE E.M.U. ELECTRIC TRAINS AS SR. CITIZENS, LADIES & CHILDREN ESPECIALLY BADLY SUFFER IN ADDITION TO OTHER PASSENGERS.
 ARRANGEMENTS FOR PROVIDING COUPONS, RECEIPTS FOR THE BALANCE AMOUNT(COINS) FROM TICKET WINDOWS IN CASE COINS OR CHANGE OF BALANCE AMOUNT ARE NOT AVAILABLE


Yourgoodself is requested to kindly go through the above noted points /suggestions & make suitable arrangements to mitigate the hardships faced by the passengers through the current budget being prepared by your govt.& submitting in the parliament in the next month .

Earlier we had facility of availing the advance ticket from any station, which has been suspended very recently . Due to which we have been put very hardship on following ground.


a. We are away almost 60-70 kms, to avail advance ticket, we need to go to the station where we board the train when we many station near by.

b. There will be huge crowd always on ticket counter.

I would request concern authority, please implement the same which was in the past .

Dear sir,

i was travelled from Nagercoil to Bangalore on 7.06.09. i was given my two wheeler vehicle for LT.Nager coil to Bangalore valuable amount was 10000.00 . The Parcel in charge was roughly behave at the same time he is not take any step for booked my vehicle for L.T also. I was standing 45 minutes in the office. finally He called un authorized Loading person and ask me to give 200.00 Rs For Pack my two wheeler There is no bill also issued.This is my request please make bill system for the packing and keep a Camera in Parcel receive section.Then He was charged for 928 Rs For booking charge for 10000 value my two wheeler.

The same two wheeler I was booked from Bangalore(SBC) to Nager coil for 10, 000 rs Value on7/05/09 in LT.There 350 rs Bill was made.Sir please tell me why so much differnt charges made between Nager coil Station and Bangalore station. I hope same governments are running railway.Please reply to me.

I request you to keep the price list board for Vehicles( Type of vehicle, K.iloMetre Value of vehicle and amount.

I went to naugarh (NER) railway station on[protected] at around 8 AM for taking tatkal reservation ticket in train no. 0413 from Vanarasi to Jammu. The booking Babu asked the reservation requisition form and looked at the form and then told us that the train is cancelled .But in actual this train was not cancelled.This way I got the wrong information and my time was wasted.
Pls I want clarification
WHY YOU DISCLOSE THE ADVANCE BOOKING OF LOCAL TRAIN FAIRE ALSO, ( BEFORE TWO HUNDRED KILOMETRE ).WE ARE FACING SO MANY PROBLEM

The above grienvances shows the pathetic state of our Indian railways which boasts of the largest Public sector unit in the world with large employees. Despite the large number of employees the services are poor and it needs immediate attention to set things in track.

I understand that the railways cater people with diffferent strata of the society the authorities should take substansital efforts towards providing quality services.

I am not sure that how far that these comments are viewed seriously and action initiated.
My comments are from the point of common man's perspective who commute by train often.
Mass awareness will help to solve the problems.

Indian Railway — No Foot over Bridge in Kathivakkam

Sir,

I would like to lodge a complaint on Indian Railways for not providing Foot Over Bridge in Katthivakkam station (North Chennai - suburb). Especially when the goods train enters the Ennore Thermal Power Station, we are unable to cross the track. The train was being parked half way closing the way to road. People are forced to either jump or go under the goods train, which is very risky to the life of people. Please take up with authorities to do the needful.
i have a complain regarding bribe taken by passengers by TTEs...i was traveling by NEW DELHI-JABALPUR SUPERFAST EXP 2191 on 24 of july and i had my ticket confirmed from gwalior to bhopal...but some other pasengers didnt had confirmed ticket so they bought 2nd class tickets and then got their receipt from TTE of extra fare but apart from the valid fare TTE openly asked for the bribe from them and they gave him without arguaing anything bcoz evryone wants a tension free journey and 50rs or so are not worth travelling for 5-6 hrs...i can even name the TTE his name was RATI BHAWAN...i hope government will take some action against him...

Railways — monopoly in product charges

this is the very first time i ve logged on to it for registering a complaint
ive heard we get back our compensation of the extra charge
if not compensation i want this maatter to taken into account immediately as this absurd event is concerning the goverment department
i am also sending a copy to this railway department
This is to bring into the notice of the goverment that pricing standard are not being followed at goverment outlet
i also also happened to share an experience with private grocery store but was terribly pathetic and embarrassing to find this at railway station outlet
i travelled by the train on 27 june when our train reached merta road junction there were two edible product stores at platform no 2 out of which one wasa selling the product at a higher rate
i also argued about the printed price but they joyfully adamant on their price
nevertheless it was just merely 3 rupees extra for a 500 ml bottle of slice but is this judicial

I have taken a ticket against ticket No.43377989 dt.27.06.2009 & PNR No.[protected] from Raxaul to Delhi. Train no. 5273 in 3AC of Satyagrah Express. It was because the schools of our children were about to open. We got a ticket in RAC B-1 39, 39, 47, 47. So, I requested the T.T.E of Raxaul to confirm a seat. He said that you contact the Gorakhpur T.T.E. Later, I requested the Gorakhpur T.T.E, he said that he will try very rudely but he went and slept. Again I asked him, he said there is no chance now. But, I saw that he was lying. Actually, he took the bribe from the ppl in waiting and gave all the available seats to them. We faced tremendous problem. You must examine the case with the help of the traveling chart and also examine on such ppl.

I want a respond that is the bribe something that is always needed?

I have generated a TDR request for the same to get refund. TDR no is - ekt[protected].

This TDR request is approved by Admin still the amount is not credited to me.
There is already more than 115 days and still I am waiting for money.

If your ticket is e ticket you have the option in irctc.co.in site for filing the complaint and you will get the money refunded within a couple of week.
Go to the the irctc site and file a TDR, there is a menu named like this.

Indian Railway — Refund of Ticket charge

Sir,

While I am trying to Reserve the Tickets from Chennai to Kottayam (2695) for my friend using my own DEBIT CARD (SBI) on 17.06.2009, an amount of Rs. 1132/- has deducted from my Account. It may please note that the ticket was reserved through the e mail ([protected]@gmail.com) I tried two times to get the ticket. Each time Rs.1132/- has recovered. But no ticket was confirmed. Since he did not get the ticket he travelled by Trivandrum-mail (2623) on 18.6.2009.Next day instead of refunding Rs.2264/- (Rs.1132 x 2) an amount of Rs.1132/- only credited in my account. .

Hence I humbly request you to take an action at the earliest.

V travelled from coimbatore to Bombay on 31-05-09 by 3rd AC train No;1014 theft after the doors were locked at night by the coach attender & not reporting the matter to the TT as he found the Mobile & handed the same to some person without reporting the matter to the TT or the Plice.I request under RightTo Information Act the present results.kindly revert.

Indian Railways — Over charging of eatables and drinks.

Indian Railways is running on its own. There is no one to hear and no one to take actions for its betterment. All staff is busy with illegal earnings.

It is a common incidence to over charge the passengers cum customers for eatables and drinks etc. in the pantry Car and even on the railway stations. This is a very open business. It seems to be that there is no system in the raiways to remove this corruption.

The live example for this was found at Tundla Jn. Station where a water bottle of MRP. Rs12 was bought by me for Rs.20. All food items at almost all the stations in India are sold at much higher prices than MRPs.Similarly Tea(100ml) is sold at Rs.6 to 7.

These are just a few examples. Complaints are just not listened to or thrown in the dustbins.
